Gerard (Gerry) Crimmins was called home by the Greatest Carpenter on October 21, 2010.
An instructor and member of Local 608- NY City District Council of Carpenters, the rebuilding
of New Orleans Fire Department engine houses ravaged by Katrina would not have been possible without his tireless efforts.
He solicited materials and led union volunteers from NY to NO to rebuild 11 fire stations.
A generous and unselfish man he reached out across
the country to assist the members of the NOFD, returning again and again until Fire Fighters were out of trailers and in stations.
Thank you and safe home, we will miss you Brother.
